Sydney began running casually during university as an efficient means of working out, usually 3-4 times a week. In January 2015, after moving from Toronto to the West Coast of Canada, she decided to get more serious about training with the goal of running a marathon. To do this, Sydney employed a coach and began including workouts into her routine, she also increased her running to 6 days a week. On the way to reaching this goal, Sydney has competed in a variety of races ranging from 5-30 km. She has now completed 3 marathons and has 2 more planned in 2018. Sydney loves training and racing and has become a member of various running groups in British Columbia.

Greatest Achievement:
In May 2017, I completed my second marathon, and secured a BQ.

Current Goal:
I am training for The Boston Marathon in April, and looking to PB there on a tough course and re-qualify for next year.

Training Tip:
Find a group of people who love running just as much as you and run with them as much as you can, running alone is nice too sometimes, but nothing compares to training in a group and the comradery and support that comes with crushing goals together.
