Bio:
An athlete most of her life, Heather is a leading group fitness expert, marathon runner, indoor cycling coach, yoga instructor, and triathlete. A regular on CH Morning Live, Heather is often featured on the pages of leading Health and Fitness magazines, in social media campaigns, and on TV for her dynamic and approachable on-camera presence. Heather’s marathon journey began in 2010 when she challenged herself (and her sister) to race the NYC marathon. Heather’s sister returned the favour in 2014 by throwing down a challenge which eventually led to one of her proudest triathlon and racing moments, completing the Muskoka IRONMAN 70.3. Heather will race her 2nd IRONMAN 70.3 and 10th marathon this year. Heather is the founder of Tribe Fitness, a Toronto fitness community sweating for social good, and enjoys supporting runners, yogis, and cyclists of every level set and rock their fitness goals.

Greatest Achievement:
In 2013, I started a Toronto fitness community called Tribe. Over the past two years we have offered over 300 free run and yoga programs throughout downtown Toronto. Our focus is on building community, bringing athletes of all levels together, and we do it through fitness.

Current Goal:
My goal for 2017 is to find a permanent home for Tribe. Currently we use parks, and community partner’s spaces to support our weekly workouts—2017 will be the year that Tribe finds it’s own house.

Training Tip:
Find an accountability partner and get your sweat on together. Hold each other accountable and get the work done – and have some fun while you’re at it!
