Christine’s love of running started at the age of 10 when she ran her first cross country race. She enjoyed competing through high school in both indoor and outdoor track and cross country and was fortunate to run two seasons of collegiate cross country as well. Running is a passion and she is grateful that she can still pursue this so many years later as a wife and mom to two girls. She has completed 10 marathons, countless 5k’s and half marathons and is a Girls on the Run Coach to girls in grades 3, 4 and 5.

Christine loves setting goals, training and competing to get the most out of herself. Whether it’s speed work, long runs, lifting weights or yoga, she embraces fitness as a lifestyle and loves to inspire others. You can follow her journey on Instagram @christinesrunning. She enjoys the camaraderie of the running community and the wonderful friendships she has made along the way!

Why Tiux?
I injured my ankle in 2016. After physical therapy, I needed some additional support but calf sleeves aggravated it. I saw Tiux socks on Instagram and gave them a try. I could not believe how great they felt, how easy they were to put on and how well they wore after so many miles. They are both stylish and functional. You can’t beat the quality and price. I truly believe they have helped me stay injury free and that is priceless! It’s also incredibly easy to support a company that gives back 1% of its revenue to charitable causes.

Greatest Achievement:
Breaking 4:00 hours in the marathon in April 2017 with a 3:55 was a huge accomplishment. It brought a whole new level of confidence and from that, new exciting goals began to take shape. It truly made me believe that you can go after anything you set your mind to if you’re willing to put in the work.

Current Goal:
I’ve signed up for the New Jersey Marathon in April as well as the Philadelphia Marathon in November. I want to BQ and I believe all the stars are aligning to make 2018 a terrific year! I need to run a 3:40!

Training Tip:
Mentally, set goals that inspire and excite you. Don’t place limits on yourself—you need to be your biggest cheerleader because no one else can do the work for you! Physically, don’t underestimate the importance of recovery, rest and proper nutrition.
