Christina started running in 2013 after a co-worker invited her to join a corporate running event. She instantly fell in love with it and one year later finished her first full marathon. Around the same time she discovered obstacle course racing and completed various mud run/obstacle races. In 2014 she completed the long and gruelling Spartan Ultra Beast. The last couple years she has focused more on trail running and has now completed a few Ultra Marathons. For a while Christina has had a goal and dream to complete an Ironman. She had no idea how to swim and cycling was also very new for her but a year and a half later she figured it out and this past summer she completed her first full Ironman at Ironman Canada in Whistler.

Why Tiux?
Premium quality and exceptional value! These are seriously the most comfortable compression socks I have ever worn. I have never felt too hot or constricted in these like I have with the other pricier brands. I love that Tiux has partnered with MAG to donate 1% of their revenue to help build safe communities around the world. Feels great supporting a brand doing some good in this world.

Greatest Achievement:
Completing my first full Ironman in 2017. I have never run so fast until I saw that finish line at the end! Just the most incredible feeling and experience.

Current Goal:
I’m hoping to do some more triathlons and build on what I learned from Ironman. My next race will be Ironman 70.3 in Victoria. I would also like to try to qualify for the Boston Marathon.

Training Tip:
Make it fun! Join a group or find people to run with. Makes the long training sessions seem not as long plus you can help push and motivate each other.
