Bettina grew up in Mexico, and did not start running until after her move to the USA. She took up running as a hobby and within a couple of years, she completed her first half marathon and a full marathon. Working with a running coach, she trained for the 2013 Chicago Marathon where she finished the race with a BQ time.

Why Tiux?
I think Tiux socks are really comfortable, easy to put on and take off and I like how my legs feel while I run with them. I also like to wear them for recovery after a long run. The colors are super cute and go with any outfit. You have to look cute too right???

Greatest Achievement:
I ran my second marathon and got my first BQ.  For me, as you achieve your goals, the more you want.

Current Goal:
My current goal for 2017 is to keep training hard and to run smart. I love to motivate people so that’s another goal for this year. Keep it real and have fun!! I’m also going back for the 3rd time to Boston and I’m doing my 3rd Chicago too so I’m super excited about it and hopefully achieve a PR this year!!

Training Tip:
Have a plan and work hard to follow it each day. There is no magic. If you really want it, you need to work for it. Don’t worry about what’s going to happen next month. Think about today, tomorrow and keep going.
